Lamar Advertising celebrates Grandparents Day with unique opportunity

Families wishing to celebrate Grandparents Day, happening Sept. 13, can send a message to loved ones via a Lamar Advertising digital billboard campaign.

Families can express their love by sharing a grandparent photo on a Lamar digital billboard by visiting LamarGrandparentsDay.com, according to a press release. Participants will receive an email with a map showing the locations of digital billboards where they will be able to view their tribute as well as a virtual mockup of their submission.

Lamar will display Grandparents' Day photos on digital billboards across the U.S. Sept. 9-16, rotated among the usual advertisements. Lamar also will post selected submissions on the company's social media channels.

"Grandparents play such an important role in our families, and we wanted to offer a fun and memorable way to celebrate them using digital billboards," John Miller, EVP of sales and marketing for Lamar Advertising, said in the release. "Lamar billboards are seen by millions each day. We're excited to use the power and reach of our network to help families recognize their grandparents and share their appreciation leading up to Grandparents' Day."

Submissions will remain open until Sept. 13, with the total number of daily accepted submissions capped at 5,000.
