With their powerful switching speeds, DVI video matrix switches create daily headaches for audio-visual Installers and systems integrators faced with routing a wide range of DVI video sources to multiple DVI displays.
In an effort to reduce clutter and complexity and to help systems administrators build a custom solution based on specific needs, KVMSwitchTech has introduced the DVI Matrix Switch product line of video matrix switches. The solutions are aimed at multimedia presentations, medical environments, command centers, government and remote monitoring applications, according to a news release.
Controlling options include front panel push buttons, RS232, Infra red and TCP/IP via Ethernet port, and support video resolutions up to 1920x1200. For longer runs, the routers can be used with with HDBaseT DVI extenders.
The units use hot-swappable input and output cards, which allows for custom configuration based on user needs, from a basic 8x4 or 16x16 matrix to a fully populated 64x64 video matrix router.
Technical support will help integrators determine specific needs, the company said.
