Derby North Middle School, based in Derby, Kansas, has partnered with integrator Kansas City Audio Visual to transition their systems to CMS software by Rise Vision, a digital signage software firm focusing on educational use cases, according to a press release.
DNMS digital signage now incorporates direct contributions by students, including social media content, with moderation from school officials.
The project was largely the brainchild of DNMS Principal Jeff Smith, who wanted to get students involved in shaping school culture.
"I could be a tech guy, but I don't have time to be a tech guy," Smith said in the release. "The plug-and-play aspect of Rise Vision coupled with the ability to delegate roles and have it still keep chugging along is wonderful."
"We are thrilled to see the positive impact Rise Vision has had on creating a positive school culture and increasing student engagement at DNMS," Shea Darlison, head of marketing for Rise Vision, said in the release. "This case study showcases how schools use our digital signage software in innovative ways to make a difference in students' lives."
