Jacksonville State University teams up with Daktronics for LED video displays

Daktronics plans to design, manufacture and deploy two LED video displays for Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. The company will deploy the displays at Ruby Abbott Field and University Field, which hold the school's baseball and softball events, respectively, according to a press release.

The Ruby Abbot Field display will measure 15.5 feet by 35 feet and the University Field display will measure 13 feet by 24 feet. The displays will feature 15HD pixel layouts and variable content zoning to show one large image or various smaller images for statistics, replays, graphics and animations.

"These are the first video displays for baseball and softball on their campus, and the tennis scoreboard will provide up-to-the-minute information to fans that simply wasn’t available before. The entire project will further enhance the game-day atmosphere for Gamecocks fans of multiple sports on campus," Glen Marts, sales representative, Daktronics, said in the release.

Daktronics will also integrate its Show Control System, which offers display control software, video processing, data integration and playback hardware, according to the release.
