At this year's InfoComm, NEC Display Solutions rolled out the big booth, bringing a wide variety of solutions and combinations to the show floor – from a combo display/projection setup to a freestanding kiosk model to integrated analytics.
The company also showcased its 84- and 98-inch 4K displays, with the 98 set to come out later this year, and a 4K projection system.
"Four-K is a huge trend from a digital signage perspective," Vice President of Product Marketing and Solutions Richard Ventura said at the show.
One of the highlights of the booth was the display/projector combo, with a single control system controlling the projection mapping around multiple displays and the tile-matrix display content. Another was the QSR digital menu boards created by short-throw projectors for restaurants that can't hang displays.
NEC also showcased its in-house analytics capabilities, offering three levels of audience measurement, covering both facial/demographic recognition and behavior recognition and changing content based on either.
Ventura also introduced what NEC is calling the "One NEC" concept of bringing together a variety of NEC products for combined solutions. "We have all these different products, and we're trying to do more and more together," he said.
