Immersa CEO: 'The whole planet will be AR-enabled'

February 14, 2019

Immersal, an AR tech provider, has released its AR Cloud SDK for early access for developers. With this platform, developers can 3-D scan a space and position it visually using a phone for usage with AR apps, according to a press release.

Companies can develop AR apps without any need for Bluetooth beacons or other visual markers using the AR Cloud SDK.

"We are also working with one of the biggest mobile game companies in the world, making them an AR version of their hit game with our technology," Jufo Peltomaa, CEO, Immersal, said in the release. "We are hoping the game to hit the market already in June. Immersal can then collect the point cloud data from the players around the globe and begin to form the global AR Cloud. The whole planet will be AR-enabled."
