IBASE announces Taiwan digital signage, computing factory

IBASE, a computer/embedded systems manufacturing firm, has announced the opening of its factory in Pingzhen, Taiwan on Thursday, according to a press release.
The factory will produce digital signage players, industrial motherboards, embedded systems, panel PC's and network appliances along with ODM and JDM products.
Sustainability efforts this summer are planned to include system monitoring for environmental conditions with an aim to gradual reduction of carbon footprint and energy use.
"In recent years, many companies have gradually shifted focus overseas due to cost considerations, but IBASE still insists on staying in Taiwan for its global business strategy," C.S. Lin, chairman of IBASE, said in the release. "Despite the impact of the pandemic in the past two years, IBASE continues to invest in Taiwan to expand its local manufacturing capacity and R&D operations."
