IAdea launches AnyTiles video wall solution microsite

May 6, 2016

IAdea, a manufacturer of digital signage media appliances and video walls, released its new websitededicated to its AnyTiles video wall, according to a company press release. The new technology promises pixel-perfect, infinitely-scalable video walls constructed using IAdea's standard digital signage media players. AnyTiles is able to increase display resolution on most existing video walls by replacing the video wall controllers.

The first commercial deployment of AnyTiles took place in February in China's Shanghai Hongqiao commercial business district. The video wall is in the lobby of a corporate building, measures 33 feet wide by 12 feet tall, features a display resolution of nearly 18K-by-4K, and provides augmented reality interactive gaming, the release stated.

"AnyTiles brings to video wall what the Retina displays did for mobile devices," said John C. Wang, CEO of IAdea. "Consumers are spoiled by super-fine pixel resolution on their mobile devices. AnyTiles will upgrade video walls to provide that level of visual experience."

Each AnyTiles installation contains a display architecture called distributed graphics architecture (DGA). Similar to the Hadoop distributed computing architecture employed by mainstream cloud computing clusters, DGA uses system-on-chip GPUs to form a large, high-resolution surface. For every screen added to the video wall a DGA module is added, so the graphics capacity catches up to the added pixels.
