Visual communication platform provider Hoopla announced the launch of the next generation of Hoopla TV, which is aimed at empowering companies to foster a culture of recognition and reward, the company said. Hoopla TV is designed to promote transparency, improve performance and keep employees engaged by allowing them to broadcast key events, metrics and milestones anywhere, anytime.
Hoopla said its visual communication platform is a response to traditional methods of communicating company news, recognizing employees and celebrating achievements that no longer appeal to today's workers. As companies adopt more distributed workforces and email becomes an increasingly cluttered channel for communication, businesses need to rethink the way that they keep employees up-to-date and engaged, according to the company.
Hoopla is designed to bring the best features of new consumer technology to its workforce motivation solution with a highly visual platform that keeps employees connected through fun and exciting walk-up songs, highlight reels, push notifications and real-time interaction. Instead of managers sending emails with goals, metrics and congratulations, or writing them on a whiteboard, Hoopla is intended to boost transparency and visibility by broadcasting common goals and milestones across a platform that people want to engage with.
"We are leveraging mobile and video technology in a new way to help companies keep up with how people work today," Hoopla CEO Mike Smalls said. "Ultimately it's about motivating employees to focus on the activities that lead to success and helping businesses perform at the highest level."
Companies can quickly set up Hoopla TV through an intuitive drag-and-drop user interface that allows managers to add customized leaderboards, challenges and news that employees can view on the Web, their mobile devices and office digital signage displays. When an employee reaches a preset goal, Hoopla sends out an automatic notification for the employee to personalize with a photo or selfie and comment on their achievement to amplify an exciting, energized and connected company culture.
Hoopla also connects with Salesforce so that leaderboards and updates are broadcast as soon as the employee enters new info into the system. Hoopla said it has now expanded to enable all departments to quickly input new metrics directly through the user interface or by uploading a spreadsheet.
According to the announcement, customers using Hoopla have reported rises in productivity ranging from 30 to 200 percent. In addition, they have reported higher levels of motivation and connectedness among teams and across the entire company.
SmartZip Analytics, which offers predictive marketing solutions for the real estate industry, saw sales shoot up 55 percent in the quarter that the company started broadcasting Hoopla TV across eight flat-screen monitors at its headquarters in Pleasanton, California.
"Installing Hoopla has been a game changer for us," SmartZip Analytics Regional Manager Joseph Ragain said in the announcement. "It has been instrumental in fostering a supportive and competitive environment here, and we immediately saw incredible results in our performance."
