Hickory Crawdads play ball with LED display
The Hickory Crawdads, a Minor League Baseball team, has partnered with Daktronis to upgrade the LP Frans Stadium in Hickory, North Carolina with an LED display. Daktronics plans to have the 15.5-feet by 54-feet display up and running before the first pitch of the season on April, according to a press release.
The LED display will feature a 15HD pixel layout and wide angle visibility. The stadium can also make use of its content zoning feature to show one large image or a combination of video, replays and images.
"We're excited to build upon our existing partnership with the Hickory Crawdads," Corey Williams, Daktronics sales representative, said in the release. "The new video display will be almost three times larger than their existing video display giving the team many more opportunities to engage their loyal fans. We’re looking forward to seeing the new scoreboard fired up for the first game."
