Global signs outdoor partnership with UK metro

Global, a media and entertainment company based in the U.K., has signed an outdoor advertising agreement with Nexus, a metro company and the operator of the Tyne and Wear Metro. As part of the agreement, Global will serve as the exclusive advertising partner across Metro's 60 stations in the U.K., with an annual footfall of more than 35 million passengers, according to a press release.

Global plans to deploy 30 displays at the largest stations in Nexus's jurisdiction. The company will also work with Nexus to help advertisers uncover consumer behavior on the Metro network.

This contract will also cover 21 'large format roadside sites,' which were previously managed by outdoor advertiser JCDecaux, according to the release.
