German visual solutions provider eyevis has expanded its current 4K ultra-HD lineup with new 58-, 85- and 98-inch displays, the company announced.

German visual solutions provider eyevis has expanded its current 4K ultra-HD lineup with new 58-, 85- and 98-inch displays, the company announced.

The Reutlingen-based company said it offers professional-grade 4K solutions for applications in conference, control and training rooms, in TV studios and digital signage applications as well as for trade shows, events or at the PoS/PoI. In addition to the displays eyevis also offers professional software and hardware solutions for feeding, transmission and storing of UHD signals on the basis of standard IP networks.

The displays feature a robust casing, a high screen brightness, a refresh rate of up to 60 Hz (58- and 85-inch models), brilliant colors with a color space of up to 100-percent NTSC (85 inches) and a high resolution of 3840x2160 pixels. Also, all of the displays can be optionally equipped with multitouch systems based on infrared, and can be installed hanging in vertical or horizontal format.

In video wall mode, four single signals can be depicted on one screen, the company said. These can be four full-HD signals but also four UHD signals, allowing the larger-format displays to offer an alternative to a conventional two-by-two video wall of four single displays. This allows the displays to lower TCO by requiring just one power supply and one wall mounting, and it also eliminates bezel lines, the company said.

Included in eyevis' complete range are also solutions for the transmission of 4K signals via standard IP networks. Subsidiary Teracue eyevis allows a real-time encoding of 4K signals with its 4K HD/SD H.264 encoder type MC-ENC-4K-2RU. And the ICUE-PLAYOUT streaming server offers playout of SD-, HD- and 4K signals. This server is suited especially for IPTV info channels, digital signage networks, advertising displays and other applications where 4K signals are supposed to be displayed on several displays. For the playout of 4K streams on single displays or small video wall arrangements the eyevis workstation EWS-230-E, which can be connected to up to six displays, is available.
