French ski resort gets a lift from Swiss digital signage software

When a ski resort in the French Alps needed digital signage software that could stand up to serious cold and altitude, it turned to Navori International. The Swiss company's QL software has been selected to power communications for Compagnie du Mont Blanc, in the region of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

"Our partnership (highlights) the level of integration our technology offers," Navori business development director Philip Bertolle said in a news release. "The installations are up and running 24/7 at altitudes up to 3,300 meters and at minus-40 degrees Celsius."

The software drives various forms of communication, including public transportation schedules, and screens are being integrated into buses and cable lift cabins, according to the release. Compagnie du Mont Blanc operates the system independently but can provide access to third parties such as the tourist office.

Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, more commonly known as Chamonix, was the site of the first winter Olympics, in 1924.
