French digital signage firm certifies latest AOPEN player

Digital signage, kiosk and POS computing technology provider AOPEN's new Media Engine MEP320 media player has been certified by digital signage software vendor Telelogos, according to an announcement from AOPEN.

Digital signage, kiosk and POS computing technology provider AOPEN's new Media Engine MEP320 media player has been certified by digital signage software vendor Telelogos, according to an announcement from AOPEN.

AOPEN said it works closely with specialists in the digital signage industry to get the most out of the hardware.

"We understand that the collaboration between hardware and software is crucial for a successful digital signage deployment, hence we provide leading software companies such as Telelogos with our hardware for testing purposes and certification," AOPEN Europe GM Jack Chou said in the announcement. "This also helps us improve our product line; since we are the manufacturer we have full control to change elements when needed."

Telelogos is a French infrastructure software development company dedicated to mobility, digital signage and point-of-sale networks. Media4Display is a digital signage software application for points of sale, reception areas, public spaces, etc. developed by Telelogos. This Web-based, centralized platform allows users to schedule and control the multimedia broadcasts (video, Flash, images, etc.) over remote screen networks.

"We regularly select digital signage players from the AOPEN product range, and put them through a rigorous testing and validation process to provide our customers with a solid and certified solution," said Clément Ménard, communication and marketing manager at Telelogos. "A big advantage for our customers is that the Media4Display software can be preloaded on the MEP320, thanks to the fact that the APK file is 'signed' by AOPEN, [so] our integrators and customers can benefit from easy deployment and use."
