According to AV Interactive, Sportswear and footwear store Footlocker has deployed a Lumacoustics-designed and -developed 32-inch touchscreen digital sign that allows shoppers to design and customize their own New Era baseball caps while in the store:
The screens, which are situated on the New Era display area, offer a blank hat template for users to "paint" on designs and pictures using a wide variety of different colours and stencils.
Footlocker visitors are also given the opportunity to browse through New Era's history and other information about the famous brand.
The screens are currently being trialled within Milan, Paris and London stores, where initial consumer feedback is showing the system is being well received. After the trial completes later this year, the screens will be rolled out across Europe.
