Exceptional 3D today announced the expansion of their patented glasses-free 3D product line with the introduction of their 55-inch autostereoscopic 3-D digital display.
Key autostereoscopic 3-D features include the delivery of clean, crisp and eye-catching no-glasses 3D content that will enhance the experience for bigger audiences in any public space or vertical market. Exceptional 3D said the new product was demonstrated before select members of the glasses-free 3D community, who all expressed a consistent "Grade A" evaluation of the new display.
"We're extremely pleased to be adding the 55-inch 3D display to our growing line of patented 3-D products," said Dan Fisher, COO for Exceptional 3D, in the announcement. "It was our intention to enter 2012 with our sights set on upholding a certain consistency by delivering revolutionary 3-D products, services and solutions which cater to the demand that customers express a real need for, and we are confident that we not only met our customers' expectations for a large-format 3-D display solution, but also exceeded our own."
The company worked to make sure the new display "offers a large viewing arena that is ideal for any vertical market or 3-D digital signage application, as well as keeping it affordable for mass adoption," he also said.
Exceptional 3D said the 55-inch glasses-free 3-D commercial-grade models are ideal for digital signage applications such as corporate lobbies, conference rooms, quick-service restaurants, casual or fine dining, transit hubs, airports and small-to-medium businesses. The new 55-inch glasses-free 3-D display offers a 1080p high-definition resolution, and its commercial-grade LCD panel is designed for digital signage use. Keeping consistent with the Exceptional 3D business model, these large-format 3-D displays are also carrying the same future-proof capability for playing both 3-D content and legacy 2-D content in sequence or at the same time.
"We were thrilled to see a sneak peak of the Exceptional 3D 55-inch 3-D display," said Susiy Richmond, co-owner of Twelve Strike, which services bowling centers world-wide, according to the announcement. "This is a very impressive glasses-free 3D display, and the extremely comfortable viewing zones are sure to enhance the all-around customer experience."
The new 55-inch Exceptional 3D display product will be on tour and making its debut at tradeshows throughout the new year. The first stop will be the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new 3-D display will be showcasing exclusively at VEFXi Booth #13145 in Central Hall at this year's CES, Jan. 10–13. VEFXi will show-off its 2-D-to-3-D converter for glasses-free 3-D, with the new 55-inch Exceptional 3D display product.
