Enseo, a digital signage provider, has deployed its MadeSafe security solution to the Lovejoy Independent School District in Texas. The MadeSafe platform uses Internet of Things networking and cloud computing to alert first responders during emergencies, according to a press release.
Employees have wearable alert buttons that they can press to notify a first responder of an event. The first responders receive the alert on a generated 3-D map of the school. The platform also sends an email and text to designated staff.
"The wellbeing of our students and staff is top of mind for Lovejoy ISD. We are pleased to have found Enseo and their MadeSafe product within our own community," Ted Moore, superintendent of Lovejoy Independent School District, said in the release. "The MadeSafe product was exactly what we were looking for in a technology to meet our objectives of leading not only in education, but in security and wellbeing as well."
The school later plans to use Enseo technology for video conferencing, student-led announcements and improved Wi-Fi, according to the release.
