Eclipse intros new meeting-room plugin for digital signage

UK-based digital signage provider Eclipse Digital Media has announced the release of the new Room Booking plugin for its embed signage product, available free to all existing embed signage users.

U.K.-based digital signage provider Eclipse Digital Media has announced the release of the new Room Booking plugin for its embed signage product, available free to all existing embed signage users.

The Room Booking plugin is designed to provide users with a standalone set of features that allows the management of meeting-room displays via the built-in online calendar or via integration with an Office 365 Outlook Business Account.

"We have seen an increasing number of requests for a simple room-booking solution, so [we] have created this plugin to meet client demand," said Ty Howden, technical developer at Eclipse, in the announcement. "As with some of our other plugins, the Room Booking plugin is available as part of an existing embed signage network or can be purchased as a standalone Room Booking product without other embed signage features."

According to the company, the Room Booking plugin gives users the ability to create, edit and customize meetings for an unlimited number of meeting room displays. Users also benefit from a wide device choice to use for their meeting-room displays, the company said, including the likes of Samsung Smart Signage Platform 10- and 22-inch displays, plus iOS and Android Tablets. However device choice is not limited to these as the platform also supports Windows and Mac OS.
