Exponation LLC, the same show management team that has been putting on the annual Digital Signage Expo since 2004, will be producing the inaugural EduComm Expo, an educational conference and trade show exclusively focused on the needs of those responsible for implementation, oversight and management of internal digital campus communication technology initiatives in higher education, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Sept. 30-Oct.1, 2015.

The two-day educational conference and show floor exhibits will focus on the future of campus communications and education technology, the organization said, including the way in which technology enables communications with students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, visitors and fans. The show will feature digital display solutions ranging from kiosks to video walls, communication software, remote and on-campus collaborative learning technologies, as well as mobile, desktop and audio applications that serve colleges and universities – of which there are close to 5,000 in the U.S. alone.

The Expo also will feature an immersive educational conference that will offer seminars and workshops both days to educate attendees on best practices and the best ways to deploy, utilize and manage these technologies. The show's purpose is to provide those responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining fluid and effective technology solutions with one place they can go to acquire these skill sets, examine all the latest technologies firsthand and learn to extract additional value from these investments.

"Today's tech-savvy students expect our services to leverage technology in intuitive and innovative ways," said Holli Drewry, assistant director of communications and innovative technology, Virginia Tech, in the announcement. "EduCOMM will give me the opportunity to explore what's new, find new ways to use existing resources and learn best-practices from communications thought leaders that I will be able to use right away when I return to my campus."

Guiding the development of the educational programs for this conference are higher education professionals on ECE's founding Advisory Board from institutions such as: Georgia Tech, The Ohio State University, Pepperdine University School of Law, Towson University, University of California Merced, University of New Mexico, University of Notre Dame, University of Oklahoma, HSC, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky University and West Virginia University.

"Since all of the conferences I have attended lately are targeted to the consumer/commercial spaces, I am really looking forward to the higher education targeting where I can discuss issues and solutions with individual from other universities similar to Notre Dame," said Ed Dickison, communications services manager, Notre Dame.
