DSA webinar to debunk NFC myths

It seems everyone in the industry is talking about NFC, or near field communications, and the Digital Screenmedia Association is hoping its free webinar can shed a little light on such an intricate topic. Attendees of the free May 22 webinar, "The Myths and Realities Surrounding NFC," will learn everything they need to know in order to deploy NFC technology, said DSA Executive Director David Drain, in a recent announcement.

Industry experts will describe how it works, how it's being used and when it will reach mass adoption:

• Rob Sabella, CEO of OTA Training, a provider of RFID / NFC training and the creator and producer of the NFC Bootcamp;
• John Shuster of VDC Research Group, a market research firm;
• Steve Gurley of Symon Communications, a firm that provides hardware and software for kiosks and digital signage; and
• Mikhail Damiani, CEO of Blue Bite, a mobile marketing company.
