DS-IQ measures effectiveness of digital signs

April 25, 2007

MSNBC is reporting on DS-IQ, the Bellevue-based software company whose product does sophisticated, real-time analysis of the data generated by digital signage software.

Using a Web-based interface, DS-IQ clients can monitor the activity being generated at the POS and compare it to the activity on the digital signage network. The result is a research tool that is analogous to online advertising, where the effectiveness of each ad can be assessed by the number and quality of clicks it generates.

DS-IQ was founded in 2003 by William Wu and Thomas Opdycke, both of whom worked on the Windows team as employees of Microsoft. Other members of the executive team come from Yahoo! Inc., IBM, NetRatings and Avenue A/Razorfish.
