Walt Disney World, based in Orlando, Florida, has deployed Panasonic System Solutions Company of North America's projection technology for its Star Wars: Rise of the Resistant attraction located at Disney's Hollywood Studios park in the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge section. Panasonic provided its 4K laser projectors to help bring the Star Wars characters and worlds to life, according to a press release.
"Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences that we have ever created," Paul Bailey, technical director, Walt Disney Imagineering, said in the release. "With the help of Panasonic laser projection technology, we were able to bring a First Order Star Destroyer and other visual details to life, pixel by pixel."
Panasonic also provided projection technology to support Galaxy's Edge Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, according to the release.
