Digital View flips digital signage

October 8, 2012

Digital signage media player firm Digital View has announced the release of a new stand-alone flip-and-rotate board for changing the orientation of the image on a digital signage display. The 1010-FLIP board sits between the LCD driver and the LCD display, and provides the user flexibility to either flip the picture horizontally or vertically by 180 degrees, or to rotate it by 180 degrees.

Designed for monitor builders and display integrators looking to create head-up displays, auto-prompting devices or other reverse projected images, the board can also be used to switch a 12 o'clock viewing angle to a 6 o'clock viewing angle for ceiling or portrait mounting, the company said.

The 1010-FLIP board takes in the LVDS signal from the LCD driver board and outputs a re-configured LVDS signal directly to the display. It is designed to work off-the-shelf with any of the products from the Digital View family of LCD interface controllers, but can also be adapted to work with other standard LVDS driver solutions.

The FLIP1010 has an MTBF rating in excess of 200,000 hours and is covered by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
