Daktronics of Brookings, South Dakota, has expanded its video product line with the introduction of the Gold Series, targeting new and emerging digital signage markets globally, according to a company press release.
The Gold Series offers a 10-mm outdoor SMD LED solution available worldwide and 6-mm SMD and 16-mm through-hole outdoor LED solutions are available in select markets. Other offerings are currently in product development. This product line is built to provide a streamlined delivery and simplified design for a wide array of customers looking to quickly grow their display network or introduce signage to additional locations, the release said.
"We listened to our customers in the digital signage market as we started seeing that market expand to many countries in the world that traditionally haven't featured this type of technology," said Pete Egart, vice president of the Europe, Middle East and Latin America markets. "Daktronics developed the Gold Series within our premium brand to be an ideal option for these locations where a video display will be very beneficial yet also extremely affordable."
The Gold Series as an addition to Daktronics' current Blue Series video product line. The Blue Series is designed for premier digital signage markets around the world, according to the release. This series also features through-hole and SMD LED technology with more pixel spacing options and greater flexibility for more complex display systems.
