Automated retailing systems provider AVT Inc. has signed up "high profile" sponsors for its newly launched vending kiosk digital signage advertising platform, the company said in an announcement.
The advertising platform delivers messaging and commercials throughout specific streams of AVT's automated retailing and vending systems placed in high-traffic locations including health clubs, college campuses, airports, malls, business complexes, hotels and other areas where people congregate.
AVT has inked deals with a diverse list of advertising clients, including brands such as Cyto Sport (maker of Muscle Milk); Cliff Bar; Modern Oats; Vita Cocoand Fiji Water, according to the announcement.
AVT Vice President of Operations Russ McCullough said in the announcement that this new division is capturing market share and moving ahead faster than projections. "We have the perfect combination of products, point-of-sale advertising and a highly targeted audience," he said. "Accordingly, there is significant interest from advertisers who see the value in our platform. We have been signing up new advertising sponsors faster than projected, and anticipate this division will continue to grow rapidly as our network expands and more sponsors are added."
In its announcement AVT cited a report from Intel that says advertising on automated retailing machines increase sales: "Vending machines are valuable to service operators and product manufacturers who want to grab the attention of customers. Large-screen digital signage combined with video analytics is a next-generation advertising medium that can present compelling and targeted information to people in its field of view."
