Digital signage is providing creative and emergency messaging and live news streaming and multichannel IPTV for the U.S. Institute of Peace building in Washington, D.C., with the deployment of MediaStar Evolution, the IPTV and signage system from Cabletime, according to GovernmentVideo.com.
The solution also includes in-house stream generation from any point within the building using portable encoders. MediaStar MediaManager is a software tool that manages content acquisition, management and display, for the scheduling and display of information.
"We came to Cabletime with a clear idea of what we needed, which was the ability to stream video and audio to and from all our meeting rooms, and a tight timeframe in which to achieve it," William Vaughan, audio-visual manager at USIP, said in the article. "We got plenty of insight and a good overview of the system before we selected it, and we were also convinced that MediaStar Evolution would be expandable, which was important to us."
The first phase of the MediaStar Evolution rollout was finsihed in April, but USIP has further plans for expanding the system, according to the website.
