Digital menu boards help Wireless Ronin post huge revenue increase
August 15, 2010
Wireless Ronin Technologies Inc. has announced its second quarter revenues this year rose 99 percent from 2Q 2009. The report was announced last week for the period ending June 30.
Additionally, Wireless Ronin's 2Q revenues rose 78 percent from the first quarter of 2010. Gross margin hit an all-time high of 48 percent, compared to 39 percent from the previous quarter and 23 percent from 2Q 2009.
The company's gross margin dollars have expanded more than fourfold year-over-year, and it continues to implement its cost optimization plan with a projected annualized cost savings exceeding $2.5 million.
The increase in revenue was primarily the result of the company's marquee partnerships, including Yum! Brands, Chrysler, Thomson Reuters and ARAMARK, the company says.
During the second quarter, Ronin installed digital menu boards in an additional 24 KFC stores, including all of Jacksonville, Fla.
