MELVILLE, N.Y. — Digichief, a digital signage software and data distribution company, has announced a contract using ChyTV Digital Signage systems to provide a Video Information Display solution for the Fuel View TV Network. The first installation in Lexington, Ky. has 100 21-inch pump-top LCD displays at area Shell Stations. Digichief is using the ChyTV Plus Video Graphics Unit to update each pump-top display.

"The ChyTV Plus units have proven to be extremely reliable and their small profile works well with the limited space allotted to us at each fueling station," said Gene Hamm, partner at Digichief.

The ChyTV Plus units are updated remotely using ChyTV.net, the online service launched in 2007 by Chyron. In addition to remote updates and scheduling, Digichief supplies each pump-top display with relevant news, weather, sports and financial data from its Digichief Data Feed. The video loop cycles between an abbreviated local newscast and advertising, along with a relevant mix of local news, weather, sports and financial data via an L-bar graphic.
