Connectivity solutions provider D-Link has announced a 4G HDMI Wireless Module, the DWM-301, designed for interactive ordering and media streaming signage solutions to provide key data back to operators. Available immediately, the new Wireless Module can support a range of applications in which data from customer interactions with a connected display need to be delivered in real-time back to a local or remote operator.

The DWM-301 has 4G/LTE radios for wireless connectivity and includes an HDMI port to connect to a touchscreen display for real-time ordering or data reporting, designed to be suitable for supporting eMBMS digital signage and multicast video streaming applications.

"Real-time customer data delivered from an interactive display allows businesses of all types to improve service and ensure needs are met, regardless of their location," said Eli Garva, senior vice president, Service Provider Business Unit, D-Link Systems Inc., in the announcement. "Our new HDMI-enabled 4G Wireless Module gives service providers an easy, integrated solution to enable over-the-cloud updates for a variety of interactive screen and digital signage applications."

The D-Link solution will be on display at CTIA Super Mobility 2015, Sept. 9-11, at The Sands in Las Vegas, the company said.
