Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas teams with Acquire for digital signage makeover

The Cosmopolitan, a multi-billion dollar hotel and casino based in Las Vegas, Nevada, has completed a makeover project, including extensive digital signage installations made with the help of Acquire, according to a press release.

The Cosmopolitan includes hotel, casino, retail, restaurant, fitness and entertainment spaces and is regularly ranked among the top hotel and casino spaces in the Las Vegas Strip. Purchased by MGM Resorts International in 2021 for $1.65 billion, the space has undergone extensive renovations, including LCD and LED displays both outside and throughout the complex, including 4K HDR capacity. The resort teamed with U.K.-based Acquire Digital and its hardware partner YESCO for the signage renovations.

The hotel also implemented a single, streamlined CMS from Acquire, Acquire Editor, to replace the multiple systems that previously controlled various signage areas in the hotel and entertainment spaces. Since various third parties have a stake in digital signage, such as the nightclubs that own space within the resort, the CMS allows branding and content updates in local third-party areas without ceding full control of the system outside the hotel's control. The CMS includes error-prevention to keep the wrong content from playing in inappropriate areas of the resort. Acquire and YESCO provide ongoing support services for the digital signage systems.
