ComQi's EnGage digital signage platform is now compatible with BrightSign's high-bandwidth digital content protection-compliant XT1143 media player. The platform can use this media player to drive encrypted cable TV signals through displays in waiting rooms, restaurants and other places, according to a press release.
HDCP is a digital copy protection technology that enables companies to run cable TV on digital signage networks securely. ComQi uses subscription feeds to improve customer experience for customers in the waiting room.
