Denver Post: Shares of National CineMedia Inc. surged by more than one-fifth in value on their first day of trading Thursday. The company, which sells ad space on 13,000 screens in more than 1,000 movie theaters, had priced its initial public offering of 38 million shares at $21 on Wednesday.
Shares opened at $25.50 on Thursday and closed the day at $25.67 on a volume of 28.4 million shares traded. The stock gained 22.2 percent on what was a down day for the larger market.
