SNA Displays recently teamed up with Christie to deploy three large LED screens to cover an eight story parking garage used by residents of the twin 35-story Circa towers in downtown Los Angeles. The displays feature more than 18,000 square feet of exterior LEDs and a 10-millimeter pixel pitch, according to a press release.
Christie provided the switching, scaling and signal extension for the LEDs' 4K content. It used its Terra lineup of transmitters, receiver and a controller. The tower used 1G network ports on the Terra receivers for local control connections.
"Using the Terra Controller, I can remote in and pass over the built-in content management system and take over the three screens," Stewart Ives, director of systems, SNA Displays, said in the release. "The screens can be remotely operated from the street or from any other network drop or location a Terra device is located."
