According ChicagoNow's I(Blog)Chicago blog, Chicago Transit Authority President Forrest Claypool says the city's train commuters can expect for every CTA station to get a digital signage "train tracker" display in the next year:
CTA's goal is to put a digital display that will feature the Train Tracker and other CTA notifications in all stations within a year. So far, the Green and Pink Lines' Morgan/Lake station as well as the Yellow Line's Oakton station are already equipped with the new digital displays.
So far, there are a few stations that have Train Trackers, such as the Sox/35th stop along the Green Line and the Clark/Lake station.
Some CTA bus stops feature the Bus Tracker displays, which have been available for years; however, the Train Tracker was introduced last year.
