Carousel adds cloud support for BrightSign players, Mersive displays

Carousel Digital Signage has added support for its software-as-a-service Carousel Cloud for BrightSign media players and Mersive displays. Mersive is a wireless display provider based in Denver, Colorado. Although Carousel's Cloud was previously only available for Apple TV, now BrightSign and Mersive users can deliver cloud-based content from Carousel, according to a press release.

The cloud platform is centralized within an off-site location, so end users don’t have to manage traditional hardware servers.

The company has also added support for iPads for digital signage content.

"We're simply providing our customers with more flexible options as they transition to Carousel Cloud," JJ Parker, CEO, Carousel Digital Signage, said in the release. "Regardless of player choice, Carousel Cloud’s centralized platform will accommodate more users from more locations, and help users keep playlists fresh and networks dynamic."
