A Tennessee car dealership is donating its digital sign to a local animal shelter.

Johnson City (Tennessee) Honda and Snyder Signs announced the donation for the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter's new location at a recent meeting of the shelter board, according to the Johnson City Press.

The $60,000, double-sided roadside LED sign from Watchfire Signs will stand 25 feet tall and measure 16 feet across, with a digital signage face flashing photographs of shelter animals available for adoption to the 20,000 drivers who pass each day.

"This is one of the final touches to this project, having a really significant sign out at the road where people know where we are," Mayor Ralph Van Brocklin said at the meeting, according to the paper. "An electronic sign that will allow us to display certain animals that are within the facility helps a lot as far as catching the public's attention and hopefully getting these animals adopted out and taking the euthanasia rate as close to zero as possible."

The donation came after Johnson City Honda bought a new digital sign made by Watchfire Signs from Snyder Signs, the auto dealer donated their old Watchfire sign to the animal shelter, according to a Watchfire spokesperson.
