According to the Sacramento (Calif.) Business Journal, the Cal Expo in Sacramento, Calif., is getting new digital billboards from CBS Outdoor, one along Capital City Freeway and one each at the fairgrounds' East and Main gates.
The new freeway sign will be a 20-foot by 60-foot billboard, and CBS Outdoor is guaranteeing a minimum rent to Cal Expo of $5.7 million over the 20-year contract, including a signing bonus of $500,000 upon completion of construction, according to the article. For the contract's first five years, Cal Expo is scheduled to receive $225,000 a year, or 30 percent of the annual revenue share based on gross receipts of advertising sales, whichever is greater.
