BrightSign launches digital signage hardware module

February 1, 2017

BrightSign plans to unveil its display-integrated hardware solution at Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam from Feb. 7-10. The HD3 Series BrightSign Built-In module is designed for integration with OEM products, according to a press release.

The module rests on one board measuring 70 by 100 mm. Its HTML5 rendering engine is designed to support HD video. It also comes with:

  • GB Ethernet;
  • USB 2.0;
  • S/PDIF audio;
  • Optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module; and
  • GPIO and UDP for interactive control.

"Our new HS123 module makes it possible for manufacturers to sell displays that are signage-ready, right out of the box," Jeff Hastings, CEO, BrightSign, said in the release. "Signage-ready displays are called for in settings with limited player placement options, and we're glad to offer this new module to manufacturers that have been looking to use our leading signage hardware for this type of integrated product offering."
