BrightSign, Convergent intro SafeStore Screen Control for digital signage

Convergent Media Systems Corp., a Ballantyne Strong Inc. company and digital signage provider, has partnered with BrightSign to launch SafeStore Screen Control, which enables viewers to control content on a display using their phone. This creates a touchless interactive experience, which in turn reduces the spread of COVID-19, according to a press release.

"This solution exemplifies how AV integrators can leverage our technology to create innovative digital signage solutions," Jeff Hastings, CEO of BrightSign, said in the release. "This capability gives businesses a quick, cost-effective way to provide interactive experiences without the need to replace expensive touchscreen displays and lets partners like Convergent deliver greater value by providing sophisticated integration and content development services."

Digital signage end users can also use SafeStore to enable event registration, downloading, saving product information and sharing content via social media, according to the release.
