Bluescape, a persistent cloud-based platform for real-time visual collaboration, recently announced the new Bluescape Hardware Program. Companies in the program offer hardware that complements the Bluescape experience and has been extensively tested and validated to work well with Bluescape's platform. As collaboration spans across an entire enterprise, Bluescape said it strives to support a range of hardware options to allow an organization's choice in hardware to fit different workspaces. The first three companies are interactive digital signage display vendors MultiTaction, Planar Systems and 3M.

"Every business has unique needs when creating their workplace ecosystem, and we are committed to supporting a range of high-quality options to enable different work styles and modes," Bluescape COO Liz McGlauflin said in the announcement. "With these strategic partners, Bluescape gives customers an open platform that can run any application and any digital content, ultimately helping teams build things more efficiently."

MultiTaction, a developer of interactive display systems, offers advanced tracking performance that identifies fingers, hands, objects, 2D bar codes and IR pens. The responsiveness of MultiTaction's systems scales to an unlimited number of concurrent users and the displays are highly customizable to fit any existing corporate space, the company said. MultiTaction's interactive hardware combined with Bluescape's software allows teams to connect content and people in one place, enabling deeper insights, meaningful innovation and simultaneous collaboration across global time zones, according to the announcement.

"It's imperative to work with software companies such as Bluescape to have applications which demonstrate MultiTaction's rich interactive experience for our customers," said Jonathan Priestley, vice president of marketing at MultiTaction. "We continue to see how the visual collaboration market requires not just elegant hardware but also intuitive software to work in tandem with one another to provide businesses with work environments that drive productivity and accelerate projects."

Planar, a provider of display and digital signage technology, builds large-format interactive displays and video wall systems tailored for any indoor environment, designed to provide durability, reliability and value. Planar incorporates design principles honed through generations of video wall installations; its hardware canvas complements Bluescape software's interactive interface and team workspaces.

"Planar is proud to be a charter member of the Bluescape Hardware Program and to be recognized for our leadership in 4K display, video wall and interactive displays," said Jennifer Davis, vice president of marketing and product strategy at Planar Systems. "Planar, when used with Bluescape software, provides an easily accessible solution for companies looking to improve collaboration across their entire organization."

3M combine multitouch performance, high-definition graphics, wide viewing angles and product design into a fully integrated, easy-to-use multitouch device. Bluescape and 3M share a commitment to innovation in order to improve the way people use technology to interact and collaborate with virtually limitless space, according to the announcement.

"Becoming part of the Bluescape Hardware Program allows us to provide even more value to our customers," said Scott Hagermoser of 3M. "Combining Bluescape's advanced software with 3M's high-performance multitouch displays and systems, we create a highly engaging and interactive user experience which ultimately inspires professionals to change the way they navigate their daily work."

Bluescape featured MultiTaction and Planar displays in its booth at this year's InfoComm in Orlando, Florida.
