Asda retail stores trial digital signage system from Amscreen

Asda, a supermarket retailer based in the United Kingdom, is running a trial of a digital signage system in its new Keighley store. The project is being performed by Amscreen, which is headed up by Sir Alan Sugar, star the British version of the Apprentice.
Screens will first go into the the pharmacy and photography areas of the store. Content will consist of product and pricing information at the point of sale. According to Retail Week, it "is not clear whether Asda will charge suppliers to promote their products using the system."

Other retailers rolling out digital screen networks with Amscreen include Lloydspharmacy and BP.
