Aopen launches visual data device for digital signage

Aopen has launched the DE7400XE Visual Data Device that is designed to integrate the workload of various IoT applications such as digital signage, analytics, SQL servers and more. The system is designed with the Intel Xeon processor, according to a press release.

The device is designed to handle three UHD screens at once and can drive four external hard drives. It can be used with stand-alone or modular configurations.

The device has other features, including:

  • Two HDMI and one mDP ports;
  • Dual 1 GB LAN;
  • Mini sas connector for four sata devices; and
  • Can support up to 32 GB of DDR4.

"Intel's Visual Data Reference Design Specification will encourage visual retail, smart classroom and other industries to rethink business models using video and digital signage technologies," Jose Avalos, global director for visual retail and digital signage at Intel, said in the release. "With products like Aopen's DE7400XE, built on Intel's Visual Data Reference Design Specification, consumers and businesses will enjoy more immersive experiences using high-performance video and audio, data-driven insights, and seamless collaboration and interactivity."
