AOPEN and NUITEQ partner for multitouch digital signage

Global electronics manufacturer and digital signage provider AOPEN is partnering with multitouch software developer NUITEQ to promote multitouch-enabled interactive digital signage solutions, according to an announcement from the companies.

Global electronics manufacturer and digital signage provider AOPEN Inc. is partnering with multitouch software developer NUITEQ to promote multitouch-enabled interactive digital signage solutions, according to an announcement from the companies.

AOPEN has focused on creating powerful and user-friendly digital signage solutions that are easy to set up and maintain, and ease-of-use is also a speciality for NUITEQ, according to the announcement. Its Snowflake Business and Entertainment software editions offer a range of interactive multitouch applications that can be customized without the need for programming, and it also allows for the creation of custom branded content to deliver an engaging experience for audiences, whether in a retail setting or in other public spaces, the companies said.

NUITEQ's and AOPEN's combined solutions have been tested and quality approved by both companies, according to the announcment, and Anthony Gerrits, channel sales director at AOPEN, said in the announcement that NUITEQ is the perfect fit with AOPEN.

"By partnering with NUITEQ we can offer our customers a proven and reliable solution that has been tested and certified by our engineers on our extended hardware platform," he said. "The Snowflake software works perfectly on our Digital Engine media players and eTILE all-in-one touch displays, which in return gives our customers an extended product offering for commercial environments in digital signage.

"Customers increasingly demand interactivity with digital signage. Engaging and informing the audience offers an important point of difference, which both NUITEQ and AOPEN can together deliver."

NUITEQ CEO Harry van der Veen said the partnership will help drive awareness of the benefits of innovative, interactive digital signage.
