AOPEN Inc. has introduced its Intelligent Control Unit for managing and monitoring media players. This device is built to reduce operating costs and boost efficiency for end users, and will be launching first with AOPEN's new Digital Engine DE3450 media player, according to a press release.
The Intelligent Control Unit comes with a RTC tool to allow users to set advanced content schedules for different times of the day, and an EDID Emulator to help prevent resolution issues and black screens. Other features include:
The DE3450 media player is an ultra-slim device, powered by Intel Apollo Lake Quad Core CPU. It can run 4K video at 60 Hertz and supports VP9 Video playback, according to the release.
