Amazon and Outfront Media unveil giant Times Square light ring-equipped Amazon Echo

Amazon has teamed up with Outfront Media to deploy a 79-foot tall Amazon Echo replica in Times Square. The aluminum Echo stand-in features an LED light ring designed with the same pattern as Amazon Alexa when it answers a question, according to a press release.

This installation is part of Amazon Music's Music Unites advertising campaign, which features lyrics about unity and positivity for 15 cities in the U.S., U.K., Germany and Austria.

"Amazon Music's gigantic deployment is a key example of the creative possibilities out-of-home offers brands and we are very excited to be a part of this unique campaign," Jodi Senese, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Outfront Media, said in the release.

"Times Square remains one of the most prominent advertising hubs in the world and brands continue to leverage the high visibility space here and large audiences. Our historic work with Rapport and Amazon today marks a new chapter in the playbook."
