Activate The Space announced that it has completed two Apple Mac ~sedna video walls for Modell's Sporting Goods' Columbus Avenue location in New York City.
It’s the company's second store installation for Modell's Sporting Goods in New York City, and for this one Activate The Space staff designed and installed two 16 screen video walls that are hung over three escalators that lead down from the street level to the store below. The 32 46-inch LCDs in the system are driven by ~sedna presenter and Apple computers.
This project follows the 44 screen project design and integration of the Modell’s flagship store in Times Square.
Activate The Space has designed a total of 76 screen installations for Modell's between these two New York City locations. The entire head end system is based on ~sedna presenter using Samsung 46-inch, thin-bezel displays, the Blackmagic HDSDI cross points router and Apple computers. Mode-AL USA flat-panel mounting solutions were used throughout. All systems can be remotely accessed to update content, schedules and/or control from either Modell's headquarters location or from the Activate The Space facilities. System administrators can even access the system and change settings and schedules from Apple iPhones.
