Absen Inc. has partnered with Trans-Lux Corp. to provide LED solutions for the Prudential Center, the Newark, New Jersey arena home of the NHL's New Jersey Devils. The company deployed a scoreboard covering 9,548.9 square feet, according to a press release.
The scoreboard is 60-feet wide by 38-feet high, with the main displays measuring 49 feet wide by 27 feet tall. The entire solution weighs 88,401 pounds and delivers 29 million pixels and 4K content, according to the release.
In addition, Absen and Trans-Lux also provided 10-millimeter LED ribbons circling the arena.
"This simply wouldn't have been possible three years ago," John C. Hammock, executive vice president of global sales and marketing for Trans-Lux, said in the release. "Thanks to recent technology advancements, smaller pixel pitches and more competitive price points, we were able to provide an LED solution with far richer imagery and higher definition than ever before."
