3M and eyefactive showcase interactive digital signage

3M and eyefactive recently teamed up to showcase interactive digital signage at Integrated Systems Europe in Amsterdam. The companies displayed touchscreens with PCAP technology, which can recognize 80 touch points simultaneously, according to a press release.

Eyefactive provided interactive software and object recognition technology for the touchscreens, including its touchscreen CMS software AppSuite. Some of the installations on display included:

• Interactive shop window with a multitouch sensor behind the glass screen
• Rear projection system AURORA with camera based multitouch tracking
• 45-inch HD displays in two ALPHA tables
• A DELTA terminal with up to 55-inch and 65-inch UHD displays

"With the combination of touch screen hardware, innovative software solutions in a dedicated app store and furniture customers receive a tailor-made solution from one source," Frank Habel, spokesperson, 3M, said in the release.
