Automotive Broadcasting Network announced today at the Digital Dealer Conference & Exposition that it is debuting autostereoscopic 3-D digital signage display solutions from Exceptional 3D.
The conference was held Tuesday through today in Orlando, Fla.
As a provider of digital signage for automotive dealership service waiting areas, ABN showcased the Exceptional 3D autostereoscopic or "glasses-free" 3-D technology in its booth, to complement the ABN booth experience while acting as a centerpiece for showcasing the direction that the digital signage industry is moving.
"We are very pleased to be working with Exceptional 3D to present this highly-engaging and innovative digital signage solution," ABN Executive Vice President Steve Mortensen, said in the announcement.
Exceptional 3D's ability to transition to playing traditional 2-D content with no loss of resolution was another selling point, Mortensen said.
"We're very excited that ABN has selected Exceptional 3D and are offering our product line as a display solution for their organization and introducing the technology at the Digital Dealer Exposition," Exceptional 3D CEO & Director Of Business Development Mike Egan said in the announcement. "The automotive industry has always stood out to us as an industry where 3-D display technology would be a perfect fit."
