1-2-1VIEW unveils screen layout tool for digital signage

Singapore-based 1-2-1VIEW announced the availability of a new add-on module for its digital signage software tool that makes it easier to segment screens, plan content layouts and "skin" templates.

According to a press release, this new authoring tool is divided into Template Creation and Skin Creation sections. Template Creation allows administrators to specify type and number of elements and their arrangement on the screen. These elements can include playlists, Flash animation, instant messaging, text, weather or RSS feeds.

Skin Creation is a second step that lets users define the exact source for each desired zone.

"The customizing of these zones is then tailored to specific proportions through a simple drag-to-size mouse action within the work area. Using this tool, skins and screen layouts can be created for multiple screen resolutions."
